Through a joint funding agreement with the province, and the Saskatchewan Medical Association (SMA), Saskatchewan physicians can receive on-going support to adopt one of three approved EMR solutions. It has been recognized that a key factor for successful implementation of a physician EMR solution is an effective change management program. The Saskatchewan Ministry of Health has a Peer to Peer initiative in place today supporting physicians through the EMR funding program and the implementation of the selected EMR within clinician environments.
